ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN’S MONSTER from the collection “My Baby’s Made A Monster of Me”
The night smolders out in heart-shaped puffs that you blow through your mouth so your words don’t hurt and your undead TV girlfriend kindly asserts that it’s not late yet, but it’s late enough. So loosen your tie and roll up your cuffs because it’s the past it appears black and white. And your whiskey keeps asking if the casting is right. Are you the fatso? The rail? Is the monster love? And you wonder if the actors are still alive and watch the film late at night when it’s shown. Do they salute like a flag is unfurled? Is it thoughts like this that let misery thrive? When your ten inch screen won’t leave you alone. It was only a movie, she was only a girl.
